What? No java?

Warm summer nights, fireflies, bloodthirsty kids running around with explosives. Fireworks have been illegal for decades in the states in which I've lived. This will have to do.

If this looks rotten or moves too slowly on your puny computer, try the sawed-off version. It should look fine on a 256-color monitor and in buggy versions of netscape.

Geek notes:
If the program finds itself falling behind its animation goals, it reduces the number of sparks to speed things up. "Realistic" sputtering is a side-effect, as it continually but inaccurately adjusts its sparkliness to try to keep the animation rate up. This also means that faster computers will see more sparks than slow ones.
